Set among coffee country hills and tall forest, this A-frame cottage is built for slow days and unhurried company. Its curved shingled roof rises against the treeline, and inside, slatted timber sweeps overhead to a full-height wall of glass that frames the meadow and the distant peak beyond.

Downstairs, a generously proportioned bedroom wraps you in honeyed wood, soft linen and the hush of the canopy. Step out onto the private balcony with a cup of coffee and let the mist lift off the trees at its own pace. A wooden staircase climbs to a loft with twin beds beneath the eaves, a favourite hideaway for children and a lovely perch for watching clouds roll across the hills.
